Advanced Apprenticeship in Sports Development - Syllabus
Qualification Structure
Approved by UKCG August 2005 this Advanced Apprenticeship in Sports Development consists of 10 NVQ/SVQ level 3 National Occupational Standards.

All candidates must successfully complete the following units:

• A323 Manage your own resources and professional development (MSC A2)
• A12 Contribute to change through implementing and reviewing strategy and policy
• A322 Provide leadership in your area of responsibility (MSC B6)
• D210 Promote equality and diversity in sport and physical activity
• C27 Ensure the health, safety, welfare and security of customers and staff
• D61 Facilitate community-based sport and physical activity
• A325 Lead and motivate volunteers (VSNTO D2)
• A326 Involve, motivate and retain volunteers (VSNTO B2)
• D211 Contribute to the prevention and management of abusive and aggressive behaviour (DANOS AB3, Skills for Health)
• C33 Work with others to improve customer service (ICS Level 3, Unit 3), (MSC F8)

Technical Certificates to include:

• 1st 4 Sport Level 3 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness for the Active Leisure and Learning Industry
• The Certificate in Community Sports Work - Level 3 VRQ
• The Certificate in Managing Community Sport - Level 3 VRQ
