ActiveIQ is the latest awarding body to give approval to Chartstage to deliver their qualifications.


The BBC Your Game CCSW training kicked off in Southampton. Here's Maggy Blagrove in action plus the happy Students.

At BBC Your Game in Bristol, Maggy's team won the Fair Play award and will be playing at the finals on May 19th.

Sports Leaders UK External Assessment Panel met in March and confirmed that 16 candidates would be awarded either the CMCS or CCSW. Those involved were (from left to right) Richard Leahy (Positive Futures); Paul Virgo (Solihull College); John Muir (Wolverhampton City Council); David Hardwick (Closing the Gap, Stoke on Trent City Council); Dave Harry (Sports Leaders UK); Brian Bamber (SpeedOne Sports Birmingham); Rahid Bhayat (Coventry City Council).

Accrington and Rossendale College are the latest Further Education establishment to have Tutors trained to deliver the Certificate in Community Sports Work. The five Tutors were trained by Maggy Blagrove and are looking to start delivery of the CCSW by Easter.

Chartstage has gained a contract with Mitre to deliver the CCSW to 150 Students in the Midlands January - March 2008. These courses are fully funded through the European Social Fund. To qualify for a place, a candidate must be in full time employment in the Midlands. If you wish to book while places are still available, click here Under payment method, select ESF Funded.

Hull College has become the latest college to embrace the Chartstage Advanced Apprenticeship scheme. 25 new Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships in Sports Development start in January 2008.

ISPAL - the Institute for Sport, Parks & Lesiure have partnered with Chartstage to make the CCSW available to ISPAL members as part of their Improvement Agenda. To see ISPAL's news on this click here

Chartstage commenced delivery of their Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships in Sports Development in London partnered by Croydon College and Richard Huish College (Taunton). Funding for the Croydon College Apprenticeships was brokered by SkillsActive and announced by skills minister David Lammy. click here

Chartstage were invited to a reception at No. 11 Downing Street, hosted by the Chancellor of the Exchequer and attended by the Prime Minister, to send-off 9 young people to the Next Step Conference in Namibia. These young people 'The All Stars' all took part in, and made an outstanding contribution to, the BBC Your Game festivals and will engage with young men and women from the Katutura township and from the experiences gained in Africa look to benefit their own communities when they return home. Chartstage were involved in training a number of the 'All Stars' along with many other attendees from the BBC Your Game festivals.

Chartstage successfully deliver training for 119 young people on its 3 day Certificate in Community Sports Work course following a recruitment exercise at the BBC Your Game Festivals. These courses for the young people from deprived areas were funded by the Stand Up Speak Up campaign, who made a presentation on day 3 of the course and by the BBC.  See info on 'Your Game'
