Certificate in Managing Community Sports Work (CMCS)
Level 3 VRQ

CMCS is a two-day course designed for all leaders and managers of community sport.

It is the first of its kind in the field of community sport and it is a nationally established qualification. CMCS is recognised by all major funding bodies who look for trained and qualified staff.

The course is a level 3 VRQ, accredited by Sports Leaders UK. It consists of 60 guided learning hours, 16 tutored and 44 individual learning hours. Much of the course material is not covered by most conventional sports degrees and qualifications.

Candidates must attend training and must work through the course manual. At the end of the course, the manual is submitted together with their field book and case study, demonstrating a body of knowledge and their understanding of issues and application of the principles taught.
