Who we work with We have been working closely with Positive Futures, a Home Office initiative and social inclusion programme, which uses sport to help disadvantaged young people. The Programme Director of Positive Futures, Gary Stannett MBE, believes Chartstage training and qualifications provide valuable expertise to meet the growing demands of the community sports sector: Working with young people who may have a number of social problems requires a specialist approach. Gary Broadhurst of the Football Foundation has organised a number of Kickz, football programmes in some of the most deprived areas of London. He has taken part in Chartstage training courses and says that the training has provided him with an important insight in how to motivate disillusioned young people: Chartstage has worked in close collaboration with Skills Active, to design the first nationally recognised qualifications for the community sport sector. Stephen Mitchell, the Entry to Workforce Manager, Skills Active, says that the new training qualifications are just what the industry needs. We are committed to building on the achievements we have made in the community sport sector through our successful collaboration with our partners.
